UCS Holds Annual Superhero 5K and Kids' Dash

BENNINGTON, Vt. — United Counseling Service will hold its annual Superhero 5K and Kids' Dash on Nov.2, 2024, starting from the Berkshire Family YMCA at 655 Gage Street.

Registration is open at ucsvt.org/events.

This family friendly event supports UCS' Teens4Change (T4C) program, a peer-led program that gives local teens opportunities to plan activities, build connections and take positive action in their community.

UCS' T4C program runs solely on donations. Last year's Superhero 5K and Kids' Dash raised $2,500 for T4C, which was used to host their annual UCS Bennington Youth Summit and provide weekly meetups for members. This year, they look forward to participating in local events like HarvestFest and MayFest, planning community service outings, helping local organizations with projects such as Alliance for Community Transformation (ACT)'s Take Care Project, and much more.
