Big Third Quarter Lifts Minnechaug Boys at Wahconah

DALTON, Mass. – Gus Przybal scored 25 points, and Miles Fergus added 20 to lead the Minnechaug boys basketball team to a 63-51 win over Wahconah.

 

Fergus hit three 3-pointers and scored 16 points in the third quarter, when the visitors outscored Wahconah 24-8 to erase a 30-28 half-time deficit and take the lead for good.

 

Jack DuCharme connected five times from behind the arc and scored 19 points to lead Wahconah, which got nine points from Aidan Hagmaier.

 

Wahconah (0-1) hosts Springfield Commerce on Monday.
