Anthony B. Falco, 80
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Anthony B. Falco, 80, of 19 Apache Drive died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, at North Adams Regional Hospital.
Born in North Adams on Feb. 1, 1932, a son of Donato and Rosemarie Curto Falco, he graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1949.
He was a member of the Massachusetts National Guard.
Mr. Falco was employed at the former Sprague Electric Co. for many years and last employed at the former Massachusetts Electric Co. for 25 years, retiring in 1994.
He was an active member of the former St. Anthony of Padua Church, where he served as a lector and acolyte. He organized senior trips for the parish for many years. He was a longtime member of the North Adams Benevolent Protective Order of Elks, twice serving as exalted ruler. He enjoyed hunting and was devoted to his family.
He and his wife, the former Joan I. Perras, were married May 22, 1954, in the former Notre Dame du Sacre Coeur Church.
Besides his wife, he leaves three daughters, Patricia Weston of Holliston, Mary Lou McKay and her husband, David, of Stamford, Vt., and Yvette Belardo of Schodack, N.Y.; a son, Anthony D. Falco and his wife, Barbara, of Adams; seven grandchildren, David Weston, Yvonne Weston, Joshua St. Pierre, Luke McKay, Nick Falco, Makalla Falco and Anthnony Belardo, five great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brothers Frank and Mark Falco and sisters Mary Lora, Anna Grillone and Columbia Mercando.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Private services for Mr. Falco will take place at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours. Memorial donations are suggested for St. Elizabeth's Church through the funeral home, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247.
