Pauline A. Sadlowski

Pauline A. Sadlowski, 82, of 5 Cherry St. died Friday evening at North Adams Regional Hospital. Born in Brattleboro, Vt., on Oct. 11, 1922, daughter of Joseph and Sophie Bozek Urus, she came to Adams as a child with her parents and attended schools there. Mrs. Sadlowski was employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams as a time factor analyst for more than 15 years, retiring in 1985 from the filters division. She first worked for the former Berkshire Mills for several years, and then became a district sales manager for Sarah Coventry Jewelry Co., winning several sales awards. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus' Church. She enjoyed playing golf and bowling. She and her husband, Henry Sadlowski, were married Sept. 3, 1949. Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Thomas Sadlowski of Adams; two daughters, Donna Wood of North Adams and Debra Wojieck of Adams; a sister, Catherine Liszka of Adams; nine grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Pauline A. Sadlowski, who died April 29, 2005, will take place Tuesday, May 3, at 8:15 from TROTTIER-PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Summer St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 9:15 in St. Stanislaus' Church in Adams by the Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Parishes of Notre Dame-St. Thomas and St. Stanislaus. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours at the funeral home will be tomorrow, May 2, from 4 to 7. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice through the funeral home. She also leaves several nieces and nephews and her special godson, Richard Rathbun. A brother, Jacob "Red" Urus, and a sister, Mary Michalski, are deceased.
