Hugo E. Schlegel, 77
LENOX, Mass. — Hugo Eckner Schlegel, 77, of Lenox Dale died Thursday, June 19, 2014, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.
Born in Worcester on Feb. 18, 1937, son of Joseph and Oleida Williams Schlegel, he completed his education at a trade school.
Mr. Schlegel was last employed by Pete's Chrysler in Pittsfield. Before that, he worked for the city of Worcester.
He enjoyed woodworking, drawing, and painting. He was an avid fan of the New England Patriots. He also was devoted to his family and adored his children and grandchildren.
He leaves two daughters, Heather Buzzard of Charlotte, Mich., and Robyn Schlegel of Pittsfield; a one son, Robert Schlegel of Alpena, Mich.; two brothers, Charles Schlegel of Long Island, N.Y., and Herman Schlegel of Worcester; 12 grandchildren, Joshua, 23; Caleb, 19; Noah, 15; Abigail, 15; Bobby, 10; Aubrie, 7; Lucas, 11; Benjamin, 8; Andrew, 5; Samuel, 17; Sadie, 15, and Spencer, 13, and nieces and nephews.
His brothrs Edgar, Roy and Elton Schlegel predeceased him.
