Patricia M. LeBeau, 85

ADAMS, Mass. — Patricia M. LeBeau, 85, of Overlook Terrace, died Saturday evening, April 9, 2011, at her home. Born in South Hadley Falls on March 15, 1926, daughter of Oakley and Celina O'Neil Peloquin, she attended the Clarke School for the Deaf in Northampton. Mrs. LeBeau was employed by the former W.R. Grace Corp. for 20 years, until retiring in 1991. Earlier, she had worked at the former Hunter Outdoor Products and Sprague Electric companies in North Adams. She was a communicant of the Parish of Pope John Paul the Great, where she had served as a Eucharistic minister. She had been a religious education teacher for the Diocese of Springfield Ministry with the Deaf, and was a member of the Pittsfield Athletic Association for the Deaf, the Western Massachusetts Athletic Association for the Deaf, and the International Deaf Catholic Association Chapter 121. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and especially sewing, and sewed many items, including curtains, for many local families. Her husband, Lawrence L. LeBeau, whom she married on June 10, 1950, died on Feb. 14, 2011. She leaves a son, Patrick LeBeau Sr. and his wife, Dione, of Adams; a daughter, Linda Casella of Adams; four grandchildren, Daniel R. Casella and his girlfriend, Anna Kwiatkowski, Leo Casella and his wife, Sorangel, Patrick LeBeau Jr. and Dillon LeBeau; four great-grandchildren, Dominic, Sulianie, Kalianie and Andrew Casella, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Leo Peloquin and Oakley Peloquin Jr. and by her sister, Claire Matukonis. FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. LeBeau will be held on Saturday, April 16, at 11:30 a.m. from Paciorek Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at noon in the Parish Church of Pope John Paul the Great, Adams, celebrated by the Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. A calling hour will be held Saturday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 at the funeral home.
