Ruth E. Chenaille, 86
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Ruth Eleanor Anna Chenaille, 86, of 1267 Cold Spring Road died Sunday, April 3, 2011, at North Adams Regional Hospital.
Born in Williamstown on May 7, 1924, daughter of Joseph and Alexina LaForest Dennett, she attended the former Williamstown High School.
In her younger years, Mrs. Chenaille worked at the former Gaevert Film Co. Later in life, she worked at the Berkshire Hills Motel and was a housekeeper for several local families.
Primarily a homemaker, she was a devoted wife and mother, and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a communicant of the Parish of Sts. Patrick and Raphael and enjoyed gardening.
Her husband, Ralph Pierre Chenaille, whom she married in 1945, who died on Feb. 29, 2000.
She leaves a daughter, Rebecca A. Chenaille of Williamstown; a son, Dr. Peter J. Chenaille and his wife, Patty, of Vacaville, Calif.; a sister, Alice Jane Morse of Lee; a brother, Francis Dennett of Hoosick Falls, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Megan Chenaille, David Chenaille, Amy Chenaille, Michael Chenaille and Joanna Chenaille, and nieces and nephews
A brother, Roger Dennett, is deceased.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mrs. Chenaille will be celebrated Monday, April 11, at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church in Williamstown. Burial will follow in Southlawn Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society in care of Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247.
