Claire L. Franzinelli, 87

READSBORO, Vt. — Claire Lorraine "Sally" Franzinelli, 87, of 513 Tunnel St. died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010, at her home. Born in Leominster, Mass., on May 2, 1923, daughter of Edward and Aurella Boudreau McKenna, she attended Readsboro schools. Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Fanzinelli was a devoted wife and mother. She was a communicant of St. Joachim's Church, where she taught Confraternity of Christian Doctrine for the First Communion class for 37 years. She enjoyed flower gardening, knitting, crocheting and painting pastels. She was an excellent seamstress and a Boston Red Sox baseball fan. Her husband, Gennaro Franzinelli, whom she married June 3, 1944, died on April 22, 1959. She leaves two daughters, Jean Crosier of Nashua, N.H., and Elaine Schofield of Readsboro; a son, James Franzinelli, with whom she resided; a brother, William McKenna of Williamstown, Mass., and South Daytona, Fla.; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Her brothers Jackie, Raymond and Edward McKenna are deceased. FUNERAL NOTICE — A private funeral for family and close friends of Mrs. Franzinelli will be held at St. Joachim's Church. Burial will be in Village Cemetery in Readsboro. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joachim's Church in care of Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247.
