Marlene F. Mallison, 65
POWNAL, Vt. - Marlene F. "Mar" Mallison, 65, of 51 Parkview Drive, Cozy Meadow Park, died Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Mass.
Born in Williamstown, Mass., on March 22, 1945, a daughter of William and Sadie Czarnecki Mallison, she attended schools there. She moved to Pownal in 1995 to be a caregiver to her aunt, Dorothy Czarnecki, who died in 2002.
Ms. Mallison was employed most of her life in food service. She was last employed by Burger King and Stop & Shop in North Adams, Mass.
She will be sadly missed by her many co-workers and customers she got to know over the years.
She leaves cousins Barbara Czarnecki Harwood of Pownal, Edward S. Czarnecki of Williamstown, Albert and Claire Barcomb of North Adams, and Donald and Joanne Barcomb of Adams, Mass. Her dog and companion, Mimi, has been adopted by friends Skeeter and Gwen Lewis of Williamstown.
She was predeceased by two cousins, Richard Czarnecki Sr. of North Adams and Louis Barcomb of Colorado.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services for Ms. Mallison will take place Friday, Oct. 15, at 11 at Sherman Burbank Memorial Chapel in Williamstown. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery, Williamstown. A reception will follow at the Williamstown American Legion.
