Ethel V. Dickinson, 90

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - Ethel V. Dickinson, 90, of 720 New Ashford Road, South Williamstown, died Friday, Sept. 17, 2010, at the Sweet Brook Care Centers. Born in Williamstown on Feb. 14, 1920, a daughter of Norman and Irene Hewes Haley, her family moved to Brooklyn, N.Y., and she attended schools there. Mrs. Dickinson was employed for 35 years by Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Bloedell in South Williamstown, retiring in 1983. She was a member of Second Congregational Church. She enjoyed her flower garden, sewing, knitting and crocheting. Her husband, Clifford Dickinson, whom she married in October 1938, died Nove. 4, 1991. She leaves a daughter, Joan Johnson of Hancock; a son, Glenn Dickinson of Kimball, Neb., and two grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sisters Esther Dickinson and Mary Haley, who died at a young age. FUNERAL NOTICE - At Mrs. Dickinson's request, there will be no funeral services and burial will be private. Memorial donations are suggested for the charity of the donor's choice through Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA 01247.
