Angelina M. Bona, 94

CLARKSBURG, Mass. — Angelina M. Bona, 94, of 592 North Houghton St. died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010, at North Adams Commons. Born in the Mountain Mills section of Wilmington, Vt., on April 18, 1916, daughter of Modesto and Elide Domenichini Maselli, she attended Clarksburg schools and Drury High School in North Adams. Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Bona worked at the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams for a short time. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was very religious and was a lifelong communicant of the former St. Anthony of Padua Church and was a member of its Rosary Society. She was a member of the Clarksburg Senior Citizens and the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Clarksburg Volunteer Fire Department. She enjoyed cooking, knitting, camping and travel. Her husband, Albert A. Bona, whom she married Aug. 27, 1938, died Aug. 13, 1997. She leaves three sons, Robert Bona, Alfred Bona and Richard Dick Bona, all of Clarksburg; a daughter, Donna Morgan of North Adams; a brother, Reno Maselli of Clarksburg; six grandchildren, Daniel Bona of Hawaii, Thomas Bona and Jeffrey Bona, both of Clarksburg, Carrie Bona of Pittsfield, Scott Bona of South Carolina and Sara Bona of Leominster; five great-grandchildren, Miranda, Nicole, Alexandra, Mackenzie and Hayden; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. A granddaughter, Diana Morgan, is deceased as are three brothers, John, Guido and Milio. FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. Bona will be Friday, Aug. 13, at 8:15 from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday, Aug. 12, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Angel of Hope Children's Memorial in care of the funeral home.
