Recollections & Sympathy For the Family

Ernie was a real gentleman and a respected individual. Our mother, who worked in Sprague Electric Co. for 40 plus years would tell us how nice he was to the ladies working in the production lines. When ever you saw Ernie he had a smile and a good thing to say about you or someone in the family.

North Adams has lost a wonderful person. Ernie was one of the last of the "Great Generation".

Ernie was a close friend of the Ledger Family. My grandparents Oliver & Dorothy Ledger were great friends with Ernie & Gerry; they spent many Sundays joy riding all over the Berkshires and Vermont. I have fond childhood memories of Ernie walking in our home at Christmas with bags of gifts. Ernie knew my parents were young and struggling to make ends meet. He was a kind giving soul and will be missed.
