Eugenia Maselli, 95

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Eugenia "Jean" Maselli, 95, of 261 Mohawk Forest Blvd. died peacefully Monday morning, July 26, 20101, at her home. Born in Rutland, Vt., on Nov. 3, 1914, a daughter of Pasquale and Maria Bove Pitaniello, she attended schools in Stamford, Vt., and on the Mohawk Trail and later made North Adams her home. Mrs. Maselli was employed at the former Sprague Electric Co., retiring with 30 years of service. She was first employed with the former Windsor Print Works and Wall-Streeter Shoe Co. She also worked for Jamie and Dale Ott at the Clarksburg Bakery in Williamstown and also maintained the Windsor Lake concession stand, which her granddaughter is now operating this year as Jen's Tiki Hut. She attended St. John Bosco Church in Stamford and the former St. Anthony of Padua Church. She was a member of the Sprague Electric Quarter Century Club and loved cooking and sewing. She was a founder of the Birthday Club on South Street. She leaves two daughters, Mary Jean Paradise of Boynton Beach, Fla., and Linda Richardson and her husband, Ernie, of Bolton, Conn.; a son, James Maselli and his wife, Donna, of Adams; two sisters, Pierina "Polly" Major and Marie Shimaburkuro; eight grandchildren, Billy Paradise Jr.and Kristin Cornell, Kelli Paradise Gomeau, Kim Richardson Rizy and her husband, Randy, Jennifer Richardson, Jeannie Maselli, Jody Brousard and her husband, Bruce, Jimmy Maselli Jr. and Todd Maselli; three greatgrandchildren, Brandon Gomeau, Darin Maselli and Sarah Brousard, and nieces, nephews and friends whom she loved. She was predeceased by her son Jackie Maselli on Nov. 29, 2009, and three brothers, Frank, Pat and Carmine Pitaniello, and two sisters, Ida "Edith" Soldato and Josephine Bishop. FUNERAL NOTICE - Funeral services for Mrs. Maselli will take place Saturday morning, July 31, at 9:45 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:30 at St. Elizabeth's Church. Burial will follow in the family lot in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday evening, July 30, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Elder Services of Berkshire County, 66 Wendell Ave., Pittsfield, MA 01201 or through the funeral home, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA 01247. The family would like to thank the organization for all its support and care for Mrs Maselli and in helping all elderly to stay in their homes.
