Dawn M. Kelton, 38

ADAMS, Mass. &mdash Dawn Marie Kelton, 38, died Sunday, July 4, 2010 at North Adams Regional Hospital. Born in North Adams on Oct. 25, 1971, she was the daughter of Barbara Olson Alcombright and the late James Alcombright. She attended schools in Adams and graduated in 1990 from McCann High School in North Adams. She attended Berkshire Community College and graduated from the former North Adams State College with a degree in sociology. She worked at Sears in Pittsfield and was most recently employed by BFAIR as a direct care supervisor. She was a strong advocate for the population with the greatest needs. A devoted mother, wife and daughter, she was a member of the Williamstown Community Bible Church. In her younger years she played softball in Adams and was a Girl Scout. Survivors include her mother, Barbara Alcombright, of Adams; her husband,William M. Kelton, whom she married on June 26, 1999 at the Blackinton Union Church in North Adams; three children, Ashley Kelton, Jonathan Kelton and Amber Kelton, all of Adams; a sister, Marlene Alcombright, of North Adams; a brother, Andrew Alcombright, of Adams; her paternal grandmother, Melva Alcombright; her father and mother-in-law, Rev. William R. Kelton and Verna E. Kelton of Florida; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services will take place Friday, July 9 at 11:30 a.m. at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Friday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams.
Memorial donations are suggested for the Dawn Kelton Children’s Education Fund through the funeral home.
