Marion I. Davis, 90
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Marion Irene Davis, 90, of 85 Eagle St., St. Joseph's Court, died Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at home.
Born in Nashua, N.H., on Feb. 20, 1920, a daughter of James and Emma Reynolds, she came to North Adams as a child and later moved to Bennington, Vt. She attended schools in North Adams and Bennington.
Mrs. Davis was employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. and lastly at the former Adams Nursing Home, now Williamstown Commons, for 13 years, retiring in 1984.
She was member of First Baptist Church.
Her husband, Earl Franklin Davis, whom she married July 5, 1941, died March 14, 2000.
She leaves a daughter, Donna Lee Hoag and her husband, Neil, of Woodford, Vt.; a sister, Dorothy Bibbins of North Springfield, Vt.; two brothers, Harold Reynolds of Oregon and Robert Reynolds of Bennington; four grandchildren, Neil Hoag and his wife, Laura, Terri Lynn Willard and her husband, Pete, Tammy Lynn Anderson and her husband, Murray, and Andre Martell Jr. and his wife, Melissa, 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandsons.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Gloria Ann Martell, on Feb. 22, 1993, and her siblings Gertrude Rice, Ruth Fraser, Phyllis Stewart and Richard Reynolds.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services for Mrs. Davis take place Friday, June 19, at 11 from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested for the VNA & Hospice of Northern Berkshire through the funeral home.
