Roger J. Goddard, 68

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Roger Joseph Goddard, 68, of 3 Navajo Drive died Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at Williamstown Commons. Born in North Adams on March 22, 1942, son of Charles and Elnora Davis Goddard, he attended Drury High School. Mr. Goddard worked at North Adams Regional Hospital for 30 years until his retirement in 1995. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He raced remote control cars and built model trains. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was a New York Yankees fan. He leaves his wife, the former Sandra A. Baczek, whom he married on Feb. 14, 1964; a daughter, Jeanne M. Risley and her husband, Scott, of Lawrenceville, Ga.; five brothers, Charles Goddard of Dalton, William Goddard and Donald Goddard, both of North Adams, Wayne Goddard of North Pownal, Vt., and Ernest Goddard of Costa Mesa, Calif., two grandchildren, Nicholas and Colin, and nieces and nephews. His siblings Alan Goddard and Leona Goddard predeceased him. FUNERAL NOTICE - The funeral for Mr. Goddard will be held Saturday, April 17, at 9 a.m. at First Baptist Church in North Adams. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be Friday, April 16, from 4 to 7 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams.
