John P. Deutsch, 35

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — John Paul Deutsch, 35, of Mount Pleasant, S.C., died Saturday, March 27, 2010, at home after being suddenly stricken there. Born in 1975, son and stepson of Joyce Ann Smith Harsch and Paul A. Harsch III of Williamstown and son of the late Donald Carl Deutsch, he graduated from North High School in Evansville, Ind., and from the Indiana Police Academy. He also attended the University of Southern Indiana. Mr. Deutsch had most recently worked in security for a private agency and was previously a police officer in Columbus, Ind. Besides his mother and stepfather, he leaves his life companion, Erin Langendorfer; his grandmothers Betty Smith of Newburgh Ind., Pam and Mike Titzer of Griffin, Ind., Loretta Hall and Janet and Bernard Smith Jr., all of Madisonville, Ky. He also leaves many friends other devoted family members too numerous to mention. His father died 2005. FUNERAL NOTICE — A reception to celebrate the life of Mr. Deutsch and to comfort those he left behind will be held at the Marriott Inn in Evansville, Ind., from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 10. All who knew and loved him are invited to come and honor his memory and to share their memories of this wonderful man. Donations in lieu of flowers should be sent to the local humane society.
