Marie B. Letourneau, 85

STAMFORD, Vt. — Marie Blanche Letourneau, 85, of 117 Lincoln Road died Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at Bennington Health and Rehabilitation. Born in Readsboro on Nov. 19, 1924, daughter of Edward and Blanche Hurst Letourneau, she attended Readsboro schools and graduated from Whitingham High School in 1943. Miss Letourneau was employed as a custodian at Readsboro School from 1980 until her retirement in 1992. She had previously worked at Deerfield Glassine, the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams, Mass., and Vermont Hardwoods, for which she was a supervisor. She was a communicant of St. John Bosco Church and of St. Joachim's Church in Readsboro. She enjoyed hooking rugs and was a Boston Red Sox fan. She especially enjoyed playing with her nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She leaves a sister, Rita LaPine, with whom she made her home; a brother, Edward Letourneau of Bennington, 11 nieces and nephews, including her caregivers Janie and Hillary Tatro, and many grandnieces and grandnephews. Her brother Roger Letourneau is deceased. FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Miss Letourneau will be celebrated Tuesday Feb. 9, at 11 a.m. at St. Joachim's Church in Readsboro. Burial will be in the spring in Readsboro Village Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday, Feb. 8, from 5 to 7 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association in care of the funeral home.
