Brendan E. Hayes, 38
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Brendan E. Hayes, 38, of Kissimmee, Fla., formerly of North Berkshire, died Friday, Jan. 15, 2010, at home after being stricken there.
Born in Westfield, son of Carol A. Williams Hayes of North Adams and James E. Hayes of Bear Foot Bay, Fla., he graduated from McCann Technical School in 1990. He moved to the central Florida area in 1993 and graduated from Osceola County Law Enforcement Academy.
Mr. Hayes was employed in the law enforcement field.
He was a Roman Catholic and enjoyed playing hockey.
Besides his parents and his father's wife, Susan, he leaves a brother, Glenn Hayes and his wife, Ann, of Warwick, R.I.; his maternal grandparents, Earl and Edna Mae Williams of North Adams; a nephew, Garrison Hayes of Warwick, and aunts, uncles and cousins.
FUNERAL NOTICE - A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mr. Hayes will be celebrated Saturday, Jan. 30, at 11 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. A reception will follow in the parish hall and burial will be in the springtime.
Calling hours will be Saturday morning from 9 to 11 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams. Memorial contributions may be made to the North Adams Police Association or the charity of the donor's choice in care of the funeral home. Services also were held Jan. 18 in the Chapel of Osceola Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Kissimmee.
