Maria J. Coury, 57
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Maria Josephine Coury, 57, of 111 Meadow St. died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009, at home.
Born in Adams on Sept. 25, 1952, daughter of Karey and Cecelia Russell Coury, she attended North Adams schools.
Ms. Courty participated in Berkshire Family and Individual Resources (BFAIR) programs and was a member of Northern Berkshire Arc.
She lived a good life, was loved by all who knew her and will be remembered fondly. She loved Elvis Presley, dancing, and attending parties.
She leaves her caregivers, Tammy Zdon and Rose Millis, with whom she resided; four sisters, Sandra Lewis and her companion, Francis Kurpiel, of Williamstown, Cynthia Costello and her husband, Charles, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Christine Zdon and her husband, John, and Annie Walden and her husband, Richard, all of North Adams; brother David Coury of West Palm Beach, Fla., and nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Ms. Coury will be Tuesday, Dec. 1, at 11 from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Tuesday morning from 10 to 11.
