Elizabeth M. Tonini, 91
WEST STOCKBRIDGE, Mass. — Elizabeth M. Tonini, 91, longtime resident of State Line Road, died Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, at Sugar Hill Senior Living Community in Dalton, where she had resided since February.
Born in Pittsfield on Dec. 19, 1917, daughter of Frederick and Anna Schilling, she attended area schools and graduated from the former Williams High School in Stockbridge with the class of 1935.
A homemaker, Mrs. Tonini was a member of more than 50 years of Wisdom Chapter 130, Order of Eastern Star, of which she was an organist and past matron. She was also a member and organist of West Stockbridge Congregational Church and a member for more than 70 years of West Stockbridge Grange 246, serving as its secretary for 45 years.
She leaves her niece, Eunice McNeil, and her nephew, Lawrence Tonini and his wife, Barbara, all of West Stockbridge.
Her husband, Chester W. Tonini, whom she married June 11, 1938, in West Stockbridge Congregational Church, died Jan. 30, 1993.
FUNERAL NOTICE — In keeping with Mrs. Tonini's wishes, a private burial will be held at a later date.
