Rita A. Jones, 92
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Rita A. Jones, 92, formerly of North Adams, died Friday, May 29, 2009, in San Antonio.
Born in North Adams, daughter of late City Councilor Angelo Siciliano and Mary "Annette" Olivier Siciliano, she graduated from the former St. Joseph's High School.
Mrs. Jones was employed as an executive secretary at the former Sprague Electric Co.
She was an accomplished piano player who enjoyed entertaining relatives and friends.
Her husband, Ernest E. Jones Jr., died in 1985. She also was predeceased by her brothers Angelo Siciliano, Oliver Siciliano, killed in action in France in 1944, and Lucien Siciliano, and her sisters Patricia Andrew and Cecilia Scarbo DiLego.
She will be remembered by extended members of the Siciliano, Jones and Andrew families.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A graveside service for both Rita and Ernest Jones will be held on Saturday, July 25, at 11 a.m. in Southview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Encino Park Women's Club Scholarship Fund, c/o Nancy Thomas, 1923 Encino Rio, San Antonio, TX 78259. A memorial service for Mrs. Jones was held June 2 in Peter Loring North Chapel, San Antonio.
