Wendy VanAlstyne, 42
GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — Wendy Tyler VanAlstyne, 42, of Main Street died Friday, April 17, 2009.
Born in Pittsfield on Sept. 30, 1966, daughter of Charles Tyler of Housatonic and the late Patricia Davis Tyler, she attended local schools and was a graduate of Monument Mountain Regional High School and Berkshire Community College.
A nurse, Ms. VanAlstyne worked at area nursing homes and in home health care.
She was a member of United Methodist Church.
Besides her father, she leaves her husband, Michael VanAlstyne, whom she married Dec. 22, 2007, in United Methodist Church; a son, Walter Brown of Great Barrington; her sister, Susan Arnspiger of Great Barrington and nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A service celebrating the life of Mrs. VanAlstyne will be held on Thursday, April 23, at 6 from Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home in Great Barrington. Burial will be the following Thursday, April 28, in Elmwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 23, from 4 until the time of the service at the funeral home.
