Roland A. Dupuis, 75
READSBORO, Vt. - Roland Arthur Dupuis, 75, of 843 Heartwellville View died Thursday, March 5, 2009, at North Adams (Mass.) Regional Hospital.
Born in North Adams on April 24, 1933, a son of William Dupuis and Pauline Bedard Dupuis Waterman, he attended schools in North Adams and graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1952.
An Army veteran, he served during the Korean War.
Mr. Dupuis was last as the superintendent of the Mohawk Forest apartment complex in North Adams for more than 20 years until his retirement in 2004.
He was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church in North Adams. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and trips to the casino. He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan.
He and his wife, the former Susan M. Arnold, were married Sept. 2, 1960, in St. John Bosco Church in Stamford.
Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters, Darlene Dupuis and her husband, Jeff Love, of Chaplin, Conn., and Lori Newsome and her husband, Carl, of Readsboro; two sons, John A. Dupuis and his wife, Nadine of Pittsfield, Mass., and Mark A. Dupuis and his wife, Mary, of North Adams; a sister, Gloria Field of Florida, Mass.; a brother, Edmond Dupuis of North Adams, eight grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A memorial service for Roland Dupuis will be celebrated Sunday afternoon, March 8, at 1 from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Burial will be in the spring in Florida Church Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours and omission of flowers is requested. Memorial contributions may be made to Blue Faery, the Adrienne Wilson Liver Cancer Association, in care of the funeral home.
