Josephine B. Dean, 80

ADAMS, Mass. — Josephine Blanche "Bobbie" Dean, 80, of 2 Albert St., died early Saturday morning, Feb. 14, 2009, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. Born in Adams on April 6, 1928, daughter of Louis and Veronica Kuza Lesniak, she attended Adams schools, including St. Stanislaus Elementary School. Mrs. Dean was a homemaker most of her life, and was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a communicant of the former St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish. She leaves her husband, Richard T. Dean, whom she married on Oct. 26, 1946; a son, Richard A. Dean of Adams; two daughters, Marcia Giroux of Adams and Patricia Sniezek and her husband, Bruce, of Adams; two sisters, Mary Adler of Pittsfield and Joan MacTavish of Adams; four grandchildren, Stacie Giroux Vigiard, Josh Giroux, Richard Mandeville and Veronica Sniezek; four great-grandchildren, Joseph and Alaina Vigiard, Ethan Giroux and Tyler Mandeville, and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Stanley Lesniak. FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, Feb. 17, at 11 a.m. in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Cheshire, by the Rev. David R. Raymond, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Adams. There will be no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital through the Paciorek Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St. Adams, MA 01220, which is in charge of arrangements.
