Bridget A. Romanowicz, 37

SHEFFIELD, Mass. — Bridget Ann Romanowicz, 37, of Oak Street died Monday, Feb. 9, 2009, at home. Born in Springfield on July 5, 1971, daughter of Elaine Rabideau Talbot of Chicopee and the late Jerome C. Talbot, she attended Springfield schools and earned an associate's degree in early elementary education from Holyoke Community College. She moved to Pittsfield in 1995 and to Sheffield in 2000. Mrs. Romanowicz was a loving wife and mother who cherished spending time with her family. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Valley Church. She and her husband, Michael Romanowicz, were married on May 20, 1995, in Chicopee. Besides her mother and husband, she leaves two sons, Calvin Joseph Romanowicz and Benjamin Michael Romanowicz, both at home; two sisters, Rene Talbot of Ashland, Wisc., and Justina Talbot of Massachusetts; a brother, Jerome Talbot Jr. of Munson, and her father- and mother-in-law, Michael and Catherine Romanowicz of Chicopee. FUNERAL NOTICE — A Lituary of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, Feb. 16, at 11 from Our Lady of the Valley Church in Sheffield by the Rev. Henry Kowalczyk, pastor. Burial will follow in Our Lady of the Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, Feb. 15, from 2 until 5 at Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home in Great Barrington. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bridget Romanowicz Children's Educational Fund through the funeral home, 426 Main St., Great Barrington, MA 01230.
