Mary L. Solomon, 87
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. â€' Miss Mary Lena Solomon, 87 of 50 Chestnut St. died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009, at Sweet Brook Care Centers.
Born in North Adams on Sept. 29, 1921, daughter of Anthony and Martha Daou Solomon, she attended schools in North Adams and graduated from the former St. Joseph's High School.
Miss Solomon was employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. for more than 30 years.
She was a communicant of the former St. Francis of Assisi Church and was a member of the Sprague Quarter Century Club.
She leaves nieces and nephews, including Ronald Solomon and Anthony Solomon, both of North Adams.
She was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters, Hatem Solomon, J. Sammy Solomon, Andrew Solomon; Evelyn "Emily" Solomon and Elizabeth Ferris.
FUNERAL NOTICE â€' A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mary Lena Solomon will be celebrated Wednesday Jan. 21, at 11 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams are Wednesday morning, Jan. 21, from 9 to 10:30.
