Richard E. Duby, 71
PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Richard Ernest Duby, 71, of 12 Adams St. died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2008, at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in North Adams on Nov. 3, 1937, son of George and Yvonne Garand Duby, he attended schools in North Adams and Williamstown and graduated from the former Williamstown High School in 1955.
He was a Marine Corps veteran.
Mr. Duby was employed by Becton, Dickinson & Co. in Canaan, Conn., retiring in 2005.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and reading.
He leaves two daughters, Susan Streeter of Copake, N.Y., and Mary Ellen Duby of Adams; a brother, Lawrence Duby of North Adams; a sister, Lorraine Little of Hoosick Falls, N.Y., his former wife, Marjorie Weyers Williams of Hancock, and nieces and nephews.
Mr. Duby was predeceased by his siblings Jeannette Beebe, George Duby and Daniel Duby.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A memorial service to celebrate the life of Richard Duby will be conducted Saturday afternoon Dec. 20, at 3 from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, by Deacon Bruce Ziter. Burial will be private. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Saturday from 1 to until the time of the service.
