Patricia A. Brooks, 64

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —

With heavy hearts, we announce that Patricia Ann Brooks, 64 of North Adams, passed unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 8 at her home in North Adams.

She was born in North Adams on May 15, 1960, a daughter of Mary L. (McLain) Brooks and the late Albert H. Brooks. She was raised in Clarksburg and attended North Adams schools, graduating from Drury High School.

Pat worked for Big Y Supermarkets and their Table & Vine stores for over 30 years until her retirement. She fostered many friendships through the years working for the company.

She was a member of the Greylock Community Club in North Adams. Pat truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; flower gardening, birdwatching, cooking, going for rides and spending time with family and friends. All who knew Pat would describe her as a ray of sunshine. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. In life, she never failed to let her family know how much she loved them, and how proud she was of them.

Pat is survived by her mother, Mary Brooks, of North Adams, her son, Ron Perras and his partner, Terri Hewes of Bernardston, MA; her siblings, Mark Streeter of East Longmeadow, MA, Gail Demo and her husband Sergio of North Adams, and Richard Brooks and his wife Donna of Clarksburg; her three grandchildren, Shaye Perras, Ryan Doleva and Roslynn Moore; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Daniel Brooks and her father, Albert Brooks.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 17th from 4 to 6 PM at the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. in Adams. Burial will be held in the Spring in Clarksburg Cemetery. The family requests the omission of flowers. To leave a message of condolence, or for directions, please go online to www.paciorekfuneral.com
