Hollie J. Converse, 64

LANESBOROUGH, Mass. —  

Mrs. Hollie J. (Guettler) Converse, 64, of Lanesborough, died on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield after a long illness.

She was born in Adams on March 23, 1960, a daughter of the late Richard and Patricia (Lord) Guettler. She attended schools in Adams and graduated from Hoosac Valley High School with the class of 1978. She went on to attend Berkshire Community College and graduated from the LPN Program at the Charles H. McCann Technical High School.

Hollie worked as a surgical assistant for Williamstown Medical Associates in Williamstown for many years until retiring.

She had been a communicant of the Parish of St. John Paul II at Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, Adams. She enjoyed crafting, spending time with her family and trips to the casino.

She is survived by her husband Thomas O. Converse, whom she married on June 20, 1981; her brother Richard Guettler of Adams; her sister Pamela Bissaillon and her husband David of Adams; her father and mother-in-law, Alvin and Merry Converse; two brothers-in-law, David and James Converse; five nieces and nephews, Lisa Corkins, Tyler Bissaillon, Kimberlee LeSage and Ethan and Iris Converse; and by five great nieces and nephews, Ethan, Wesley, Lydia, Charlie and Evelyn.

She was predeceased by her nephew Christopher Corkins and by her niece Kelsey Guettler.

Funeral Services will be private for the family. There are no calling hours.

There will be a celebration of Hollie’s life later in the spring.

Memorial donations may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society, 214 Barker Rd., Pittsfield, MA 01220.
