Ethel Tripodes, 80

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  Ethel M. (Myers) Tripodes, 80, of North Adams died Friday, Nov. 8, 2024, at Williamstown Commons.

She was born in North Adams on Feb. 20, 1944, a daughter of Charles Henry Myers and Myrtle Avis (Pratt) Myers.

Ethel was primarily a homemaker and was devoted to her family. She attended the Salvation Army and Bethel Pentecostal Church. She loved painting and arts and crafts.

Survivors include her husband, Edward James Tripodes, whom she married on Oct. 18, 1969; two daughters, Christina Louise Tripodes (Alfred Beagle) of North Adams and Andrea Marie Stever (Kory Stever) of North Adams; and a son, Edward J. Tripodes (Candy Tripodes) of Parsons, Kans. She also leaves many grandchildren — the Beagle grandchildren: Elizabeth, Stephanie, Jason, Steven, Sabrina, Karina, Alivia, and Carson, and the Tripodes grandchildren: Nikki, Chrystal, Melissa Taiclet, Shawn, Sarah, Eddie, Bethany, the Stever grandchildren: Eric, Tyler — and great-grandchildren. She also leaves a brother, David Myers and a sister, Linda Scrivens, both of North Adams, and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Arlene, Priscilla, Shirley, Calvin, Paul, Charles, James and Walter; and predeceased by four great grandchildren. 

FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for Ethel Tripodes will be Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2024, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview cemetery.
