Douglas Blair Jr.

Douglas Hugh Blair Jr., 57 of Henry Hill, Stamford formerly of Williamstown died suddenly at his home on Saturday, October 26, 2024.

Douglas was born in Alexandria, VA on December 10, 1966 a son of Douglas Hugh Blair & Diana Louise (Davine) Coughlin.

Douglas attended schools in Williamstown and graduated from Mt. Greylock High School with the class of 1985. He was a veteran of the US ARMY during the peacetime.

Douglas made his career as a chef at several area restaurants and was employed at Williams College most recently. Douglas was an avid hunter, fisherman, loved the outdoors and playing his electric guitar and drawing. He had a keen interest in Irish and Scottish Heritage.

Douglas is survived by his mother, Diana Coughlin of North Adams and father, Douglas H. Blair of Sarasota, FL. He also leaves his sons, Douglas Hugh Blair III of Adams, Jordan McDonald of Pittsfield, daughter Desiree McDonald of Daytona, FL and five grandchildren, Jordan, Kameron, Adrein, Kingsley and Jaycub. He also leaves his sisters, Deanna Adams (John)of Pittsfield and Dawn Payton (Mark) of Sarasota, FL. Douglas leaves his life partner, Debby Stanlewicz of Hanock and several nieces, and nephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A celebrate of life will be at a later date. Burial of some ashes with military honors will be in Southlawn Cemetery.
