Barbara Moresi, 77

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  Barbara E. (Liddell) Moresi, 77 of North Adams, MA died on Saturday November 9, 2024 at Centers for Living and Rehabilitation in Bennington, VT.

She was born in Brooklyn, NY on April 5, 1947, a daughter of William Jesse Liddell and Irene Cecelia (Schloop) Liddell. She attended Mitchell College and graduated from North Adams State College.

Barbara worked as an educator at Early Intervention in North Adams for over twenty years until her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Barbara enjoyed traveling to Italy and Cape Cod with her late husband. She enjoyed shopping and walking. Barbara had a strong faith and love of God.

She was the widow of Dr. John Louis Moresi DDS who died on March 5, 2013. They were married on August 10, 1968. Survivors include two sons, John L. (Iris) Moresi Jr. of North Adams, MA and Christopher W. (Stacy) Moresi of North Adams, MA. She also leaves four grandchildren including Kaitlyn, Carrigan, Skylar and Melanie. She was predeceased her sister, Susan Liddell of Turners Falls, MA. Barbara’s family would like to extend their thanks to the staff in the Dementia Unit at Brookdale at Fillmore Pond for their care for Barbara for the past ten years and the Centers for Living and Rehabilitation at SWVT Medical Center in Bennington for her skilled care.

FUNERRAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Barbara Moresi will be celebrated Friday November 22, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview cemetery. Calling hours at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS CENTRAL CHAPEL, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA are Friday morning from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. Memorial donations may be made to St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church or to the Dementia Unit at Brookdale at Fillmore Pond in care of the funeral home. Barbara made a huge impact on my life. I was 19 alone with a child and she helped me be the best mother. She was always completely selfless. I wish I knew she was in the nursing home I would have gone to visit her. I’m gonna plant a tree in her memory!??. RIP sweet angel.
