Edward M. Wojieck, 89

ADAMS, Mass. —Mr. Edward M. Wojieck, 89, of Adams, died peacefully on Sunday afternoon, October 20, 2024 at the home of his daughter in Lee, MA, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Adams on January 11, 1935, a son of the late Edward Wojieck and Cecelia (Twardzik) Wojieck Kordana, and attended Adams schools, graduating from the former Adams High School. Ed worked at General Electric in Pittsfield, first as a winder in the Power Transformer division, and later as a group leader in the maintenance department in the Naval Ordnance division, until retiring with over 30 years of service. Earlier, he had worked at the former Brightwater Paper Co. and the former J. Zepka & Sons Florists. He also served with Co. M, 104th Infantry Division of the Massachusetts National Guard in Adams for several years. He was a communicant of St. John Paul II Parish at Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church in Adams. He enjoyed trips with his wife to their home in Sea Isle City, NJ, and liked to watch wrestling and attending wrestling events with his grandson, and was also fond of animals. His wife, the former Marilyn T. Girard, whom he married on August 11, 1956, died on March 10, 2022. He is survived by his three daughters, Susan Hartman and her husband Stephen of Heartwellville, VT., Debra Vincelette and her husband Craig of North Adams and Sharon McClusky and her husband Michael of Lee, MA; four grandchildren, Ryan Hartman, Dr. Amber Hartman Brown and her husband Terry, Jared Vincelette and Jason Vincelette and his wife Hannah; one brother, Stephen Kordana and his wife Carol of Adams, as well as several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Stanley Wojieck and Walter Kordana, and by his sisters Josephine McCarthy and Genevieve Zepka. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, Oct. 24th at 10:00 AM in Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, Adams. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams are Wednesday from 5 to 7 PM. Hi pa I just want to tell you I will all ways miss you. You were more then a grandpa to you were my best friend. My WWE partner. Now that we are not a tag team. I will have to go on as a handicap match. You wrestler hard but now I need you to tag out. And you can rest. Now I will have to go in alone. But don't wrong I be ok. But I will never forget the great time we had together. And all them long talk we had. Pa i love you so so much and I will NEVER forget you.
