Joyce Anne Elder Kelley

 

Joyce Anne Elder Kelley, 83, of North Adams, died October 3, 2024 at home surrounded by her family. Born in North Adams, MA on August 21, 1941, daughter of the late Edward J. and Agnes (Trombley) Elder, she graduated from Drury High School in 1959 and received her degree in nursing in 1962 from the Henry W. Bishop III Memorial School of Nursing at the former Pittsfield General Hospital, now Berkshire Medical Center. She was employed as a registered nurse at North Adams Regional Hospital for 18 years and at VNA & Hospice of Northern Berkshire as a clinic nurse for 20 years, retiring in 2010.

Joyce enjoyed her flower garden, traveling and genealogy, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandson Daniel.

Survivors include two daughters, Beth A. Kelley-Morandi and her husband Marcus Morandi of North Adams and Jill A. Kelley-Solari and her husband Trent Solari of North Adams, one grandson Daniel Kelley Solari of North Adams, sister-in-law Carole Kelley of Bennington, VT, niece Jackie Flynn of Williamstown, nephew George Kelley of Fitchburg, and several cousins. She was predeceased on January 1, 2013 by her husband Gary Francis Kelley. They were married June 29, 1963.

 

Funeral Notice

 

Visiting hour at 10am with a life celebration at 11am on October 8, 2024 for Joyce Anne Elder Kelley, who died October 3, 2024, will be at Flynn & Dagnoli Home for Funerals West Chapels, 521 West Main Street, North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
