Anne Andrew, 66
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Anne Leslie Andrew, age 66, of North Adams, MA passed away peacefully Wednesday October 2, 2024, at Berkshire Medical Center, surrounded by her loved ones after a long battle with cancer complications.
Anne was born in North Adams, MA on September 2, 1958, daughter of the late John Frederick Millis and Ruth Eleanor (Scott) Millis. She graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1977, eventually meeting her caring and devoted husband, Ronald, in the summer of 1992. Anne worked at Sweet Brook nursing home for several years until she found her calling and established Anne’s Day Care, which she operated out of her home for over 30 years.
For 30 years, she nurtured and influenced countless young lives, helping them grow into cherished individuals. Anyone who knew Anne was aware that her favorite pastime was shopping and giving gifts to her friends and family. She relished her beach trips to Maine, where she could shop and spend quality time with her loved ones. Above all, she treasured moments spent with her grandchildren, whom she adored. Throughout her life, Anne was devoted to caring for others and consistently sought to bring joy to those around her.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald Paul Andrew, whom she married on June 4, 1994, and their daughter, Elizabeth Ashley (Alexander) Cook of Pittsfield, MA, and son, Nicholas Robert (Jocelyn) Lentine of Pownal, VT. She also leaves behind four grandchildren: Ryleigh Lentine, Austin Lentine, Myles Cook, and Maisey Cook. Additionally, she is survived by her four sisters: Cynthia Towslee, Susan Johnson, Martha Leja, and Melinda Horn, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, David Millis.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours for Anne Andrew will be Wednesday October 9, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS WEST CHAPEL, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA.
