Charles G. Buda, 69

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Charles G. Buda, 69, of Pittsfield, passed away Aug. 7, 2024, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. 

Born in North Adams on Nov. 13, 1954, son of the late Matthew and Lucille (Whitmore) Buda he attended North Adams schools and was a graduate of Drury High School.

Charles was employed as a cook for various local area restaurants over the years. He was also a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran.

Charles was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and NASCAR fan. He is survived by a daughter, Mandi Slick of Pittsfield, a son, Chad Slick of Pittsfield, and a brother, Matthew G. Buda Jr. also of Pittsfield, three grandchildren, nieces and nephews and his loving dog, Teeda.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Casy Slick. At the request of Charles, there will be no services. TROTTIER PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME in Adams is in charge of arrangements.

Buda (as I've always known and called you) we meet"in the rooms" and you were a very early inspiration to me on my path to betterness.i will always remember the fond talks we had and the laughter we shared.you were(and STILL ARE) such a beacon of happiness and hope not only to myself but others as well.may you rest In peace and happiness knowing you touched SO many lives..mine included. My deepest sympathy to your family. I have always been friends with Charles. He used to always scare me with snakes. Lol He was a good man, very funny and always smiling. I will miss him so much.
