Michael B. Moody, 34
It is with deep sorrow that we share the heartbreaking news that Michael B Moody has unexpectedly passed away September 7, 2024. Michael was not only a loving son, he was a brother, father, uncle, cousin and friend too many. He touched countless lives with his kindness, compassion, and selflessness. He would do anything from dancing, jokes, backflips just to get a good laugh. It was never a dull moment with his dare devil personality. Michael LIVED life on the edge. Not many knew, but through all the laughs smiles and jokes, Michael faced heart complications and several health issues. Who would've known that having such a big heart would be such a bad thing? He's never wanted anyone to feel bad for his situation, nor what he was going through. He just wanted to live and be happy, which he did a great job of while he was with us.
Michael was born in Pittsfield, MA. on July 11, 1990 a son of Michael Desir and the Late Eleanor Ann Mikulski. He attended North Adams schools and graduated from Drury High School where he was a star football player. Michael was last employed at the Hub Restaurant in North Adams.
Survivors include two sons Marquese Carter Moody and Zavier Joseph Moody; his father Michael Desir, sisters Leila Moody, Graciela Arroyo, Edeline Jeannot and brothers James Robinson and Peter Desir. He also leaves behind several cousins and many friends.
At this difficult time, we are reaching out to our community for support. Michael’s family is not only grieving an unimaginable loss, but they are also facing the unexpected financial burden of funeral costs, as well as other family expenses at this time. Many know that Michael lost his mother, Eleanor Mikulski, a few years ago, followed soon after by the death of his eldest brother, Lawrence Moody. While we grieve this huge loss, we also want to give Michael the memorial he deserves; to honor his memory and allow his family the time and space to heal without additional financial stress. If you knew Moody, you know the loss the community is taking. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference and help the family during this incredibly challenging period. If you are unable to donate, we kindly ask for your prayers and for you to share this post with others. Your support, through donations, shares, or prayers, is greatly appreciated and means the world to Michael’s family. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and love during this time of need.
A celebration of Michael B. Moody will take place on Sunday September 29, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Greylock Community Club in North Adams, MA. To add to the book of memories, please visit flynndagnolifuneralhomes.com.
