Thomas John LaRocque, 61
LEE, Mass. —
Thomas John LaRocque 61 years old of Lee passed away at Berkshire Medical Center on Tuesday August 20, 2024 into the loving arms of the Angels and all his family members who were waiting for him on the other side.
Tommy was born June 19, 1963, to Francis B. and Margaret E. LaRocque of Lee and was educated in the Lee School System. Earlier in his life Tommy worked as a house painter and took great pride in his work. He also worked a variety of other jobs and would extend a helping hand to anyone who asked.
Tommy was a great fan of the Red Sox baseball team but loved the Patriots football team.
Tommy was a charmer. He had an infectious laugh and smile and could often be seen riding his bike around Lee with his fishing pole heading to Laurel Lake where he would spend hours fishing and watching the Bald Eagles fly over the water. He taught himself to play the harmonica and loved to entertain family members and friends with his music.
Tommy had his struggles in life but his family never wavered in their love for him and were by his side until the very end.
Tommy is survived by his three sons: Christopher LaRocque (Janay), Cory LaRocque (Shelsey), Timothy Dillard (Cassandra); his four grandchildren: Caiden, Jayce, Cora and Coryn all of Pittsfield; his five sisters: Nancy Peetros (Mark) of Lee, Christine Barber (David) of Pittsfield, Pamela Rabbu (Abdul) of Lee, where Tommy made his home, Karen LaRocque (Bob Jones) of Lee, Kim Grievson of Rochester NY; a whole bunch of nieces and nephews who lovingly called him Uncle TRoc and his cousin Lee Ann Sutton of Florida who was like another sister to him.
He was predeceased by both his parents, his brother Peter and his son Thomas John LaRocque Jr.
A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 2pm-4:30pm at Lee Athletic Field Pavilion, 150 Housatonic Street in Lee, MA 01238. All who knew and loved Tommy are welcome to attend.
Burial services will be private for the family.
The family would like to thank the Lee Police Department and Lee Voluntary Ambulance Squad for always treating Tommy with kindness and respect and in lieu of flowers that you give a donation to your favorite charity or pay forward an act of kindness to someone who needs it.
