William A. Lefebvre Jr, 76

CHESHIRE, Mass. —  William A. Lefebvre, Jr., 76 of Cheshire died on Saturday morning, August 31, 2024 at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.

William was born in Adams, Massachusetts on October 12, 1947, first born son of the late William A. Lefebvre Sr., and Mabel (Clairmont) Lefebvre. He attended schools in Cheshire and Adams, and graduated in 1966 from C.H. McCann Technical High School in North Adams. He graduated from General Electric Apprentice Program in 1970.

Bill worked as a Precision Machine Repair Maintenance Mechanic for forty years, retiring from General Dynamics in December, 2004. He was a member of the Lenox Gun Club. He enjoyed working on projects in his home, and his Fifth Wheel camper. He was an avid camper with his wife, Susan and their two beloved dogs, Lola and Diesel. His favorite place to camp was at Pine Hollow Campground in Pownal, Vermont.

Bill is survived by his wife of 55 years, the former Susan Amato, whom he married on June 14, 1969, a daughter Lynn E. (Lefebvre) Wallace of Pittsfield, MA., his son in law, Daniel Wallace, and grandson, Calvin William Wallace, the light of his life, one sister, Ida Green and her husband, Robert of North Adams, MA., as well as nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. He was pre-deceased by his father, William A. Lefebvre Sr., his mother, Mabel Clairmont Lefebvre, sister, Mabel M. and brothers, Dennis and Douglas Lefebvre.
