Elisabeth "Betty" Perenick, 88

READSBORO, Vt. —  Elisabeth Teresa (Baruzzi) “Betty” Perenick, 88 of Readsboro, VT died on Monday August 12, 2024 at her home.

She was born in North Adams, MA on November 23, 1935, a daughter of Rodolfo and Elena (Maroni) Baruzzi. She attended schools in Readsboro and graduated from the former St. Joseph’s High School in North Adams. Betty also graduated from St. Joseph’s Business College in Bennington, VT.

Betty worked at Hoosac Bank in North Adams for 42 years from 1955 until her retirement as vice-president in 1997. She was a communicant of St. Joachim’s Church in Readsboro and enjoyed traveling around the world.

She was the widow of William A. Perenick who died on January 4, 2024. They were married in 1987. Survivors include nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Betty Perenick will be celebrated Friday August 23, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Joachim’s Church in Readsboro. Burial will follow in Village cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joachim’s Church in care of FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGA HOME FOR FUNERALS CENTRAL CHAPEL, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA 01247.
