Stanislaw Kordana, Sr., 91

CHESHIRE, Mass. —Mr. Stanislaw Kordana, Sr., 91, of Cheshire, died Sunday afternoon, July 28, 2024 at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. He was born in Adams on September 11, 1932, son of the late Albert and Bertha (Langer) Kordana and attended local schools.

Stan worked as an equipment installer for Bell Telephone, and, later, for AT & T and Verizon until his retirement. He was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams, and was an active participant of the St. Stanislaus Church Vigil Group. He also served with the 104th Fighter Group of the Massachusetts Air National Guard for several years as a crew chief on a T-33 trainer.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 64 years, the former Irene J. Baran, whom he married on September 10, 1960; his three children, Shirley Hart and her husband Tony of Adams, Stanislaw Kordana, Jr. and his wife Tracy of Pittsfield, and CJ Czerniawski of Atlanta, GA; his grandchildren Courtney, Alex, Jessica, Ryan and Casey; his great grandchildren Maeve and Finn, as well as several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was predeceased by his son-in-law Michael Czerniawski and his sister, Alice Davis.

The funeral procession will begin on Monday, August 5th at 9:00 AM from the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, 25 Hoosac St. Adams. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, Aug. 4th from 2 until 4 PM at the funeral home.
