Cynthia McGrory, 86

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  Cynthia A McGrory, a lifelong resident of North Adams joined her husband, Dr. Thomas P. McGrory, her parents, Joseph and Doris Tovani and her brother Joseph Tovani Jr on July 26th. At the time Cynthia was an inpatient at the North Adams Regional Hospital with an acute illness.

Cynthia leaves behind William Clapper, her loyal partner of many years. Cynthia is the mother of Beth Foggo (Thomas) and Lowry Nicsevic (Paul). She was a devoted grandmother to Emily Nicsevic Berry (Brad), Paul Nicsevic (Christa), Thomas Joseph. Foggo (Vienna) and Bryce Foggo (Elizabeth). She was also the proud great grandmother of 5 great granddaughters and a great grand son. Her precious dog, Gunner will be lost without her as well.

Those who knew Cynthia, know how her family and friends were always her priority! She made it her mission on earth to support and guide them with her advise through difficult times. Cynthia was committed to keeping her family close and even became FaceTime savvy to remain active in the lives of grandchildren and great grandchildren living out of the area. She was definitely a trendsetter in that she had a successful “beauty salon” as owner/operator and later became a real estate broker.

Services are going to be held at the Flynn Dagnoli Funeral Home on West Main Street in North Adams on Tuesday, August 6th at 1 pm with burial following at Southview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please direct any donations to the Albany Medical Center Neonatal ICU program through the funeral home. May she rest in peace

Beth and Lowry and Family,

What a sad day it is to lose your mom...she has been a friend of mine and my mothers for years. Cynthia was there when my dad died for me...sometimes we butted heads...but she taught me to stand up for myself and be tough. Recently doing a flip house next door I got to see a lot of her ...it was nice.. we shared memories, and some great laughs.
She will be missed .... CBS66

Beth, I’m not sure you will remember me but your mom was my gram’s best friend-Lucille Kulp. My parents were Al and Bette Marceau. Cynthia was a wonderful person who I was fortunate enough to have many wonderful conversations with. Growing up I remember how much I loved seeing her “punch buggy”! And I always told her how much I loved the daisy she had in it. She was a very special lady and I’m very sorry for your loss. Please accept my condolences and deepest sympathies!

My condolences go out to Bill&her family in this time of need. I met Cynthia many years ago as I used to see them frequent a local restaurant and used to see her&Bill sitting in the truck outside the establishment splitting a burger&fries, or I see them outside of Big Y parking lot,I am grateful to have met Cynthia as she was a very sweet person.
