Dorothy A. Lucia, 88
ADAMS, Mass. —
Mrs. Dorothy Ann (Wooley) Lucia, 88, of Adams, died on Monday, July 1, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born in Adams on December 11, 1935, a daughter of the late Thomas and Doris (Schmidt) Wooley. She attended schools in Adams.
Dottie worked for 35 years at McDonalds in Adams until her retirement in 2018.
She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church, North Adams and had been a member of the former St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Adams.
Her husband, Donald F. Lucia, whom she married on October 31, 1953, died on November 5, 2009.
She is survived by her son, Gregory Lucia and his wife Janet of Adams; her sister, Emma Morin of Adams; two granddaughters, Aimee Sinopoli and her husband David of Adams and Kimberly Lucia of New York City; two great grandchildren, Erika Lucia and her girlfriend Kircys Canela Santos of Springfield and Brandon Sinopoli of Adams and by her friend and neighbor, Helen Gancarz.
She was predeceased by her two sons, Glenn “Whitey” Lucia and Robert “Lou” Lucia. She was also predeceased by her brother Raymond Wooley.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the staff of Hospice Care in the Berkshires. Our family is grateful for their loving care, kindness and concern for our mother/grandmother and our family during this time.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, July 6th at 12:00 NOON in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams. Calling hours are Saturday morning from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be at a later date.
