John Francis Love, 71

CLARKSBURG, Mass. —  John Francis Love, 71 of Pittsfield, MA and formerly of Clarksburg, MA died Tuesday June 25, 2024 at Hillcrest Commons.

He was born in Alamogordo, New Mexico on May 11, 1953, a son of the late Gerald “Jerry” Delisle and Jean Dolores (McKinney) Delisle. He came to North Adams at age 3 and graduated from Drury High School.

John worked at Hunter Machine Co. and also at Widen Tannery and Shapiro & Sons. He became disabled following an automobile accident in 1977.

He was a communicant of the former St. Francis of Assisi Church.

Survivors include three sisters, Katherine (Jeffrey) Turner of California, Kentucky; Audrey Arnold of North Adams, MA and Julie (Gary) Joyner of Stephentown, NY and one brother, Steve Delisle of North Adams, MA. He also leaves several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and cousins.

FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for John Love will be Friday June 28, 2024 at 8:00 AM from FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, CENTRAL CHAPEL at 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. I am saddened to learn of this loss. John was a great guy to hang out with in our younger days and on the occasions when I would run into him out in North Adams it was nice that he always remembered me. Rest in peace John.
