Born on August 6 1927, daughter of Beatrice and Theodore Duprea, she attended local schools and worked at the former Sprague Electric Company until her retirement.

She married the love of her life in 1943, Peter Paul Miles; who predeceased her in 2006. She leaves her two daughters, Rebecca Miles of North Adams and Beatrice Miles and her partner Tom Mahar of Bedford, New Hampshire, as well as her daughter in law Patricia Miles and her two sisters Eleanor Hill and Margaret Therrien of Adams. She was predeceased by her son Peter Michael Miles.

Ten grandchildren: Raymond, David (his partner Cheri), Douglas, Travis, Cheryl, Ashley, Stephanie, Bernadette, Katie and Jonathan Gregory. Eight great grandchildren: Kayla, Jonathan, Miles, Benjamin, Nicholas, Madison, Kristina, Elizabeth and three great- great grandchildren: Ethan, Noah and Beckett.

Mom leaves so many loving members of her extended family as well as other families and their children who adopted her as their own.

And now we say goodbye and Godspeed to the matriarch of 5 generations. To a woman whose entire life was devoted to her husband of 63 years and to her family. A dedicated wife, a mother and grandmother who gave us unconditional love and support. A woman of strength, beauty, kindness and faith. She was the definition of a “lady”. For all she taught us, for all she gave us and for all the wonderful memories; we are eternally grateful. Rest in peace now. We love you.

We would like to extend our sincerest thanks to all the staff on all shifts at North Adams Commons who gave her such extraordinary care and love. You became another extension of her “family”.
