Gladys A. Czubryt, 98
ADAMS, Mass. —
Mrs. Gladys A. (Biros) Czubryt, 98, of Adams, died Friday evening, June 14, 2024 at Kimball Farms Nursing Care Center in Lenox. She was born in Adams on September 18, 1925, a daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Tomaszewski) Biros and attended Adams schools. Gladys last worked in the cut order department at the former Waverly Fabrics in Adams until retiring. Earlier, she had worked at the former Wall Streeter Shoe Co. in North Adams and the former Adams Print Works in Adams. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams, and a member of its Rosary Sodality. She was also a member of St. Michael’s Society and the former TMTM Club. She enjoyed cooking and baking, trips to the casinos, traveling and traveling to New York for Broadway shows.
Her husband, John S. Czubryt, whom she married on October 4, 1947, died on May 5, 2009. She is survived by three sons, Robert Czubryt and his wife, Sandy of Adams, Ronald Czubryt of Chicago, IL and Mark Czubryt of Cheshire; her four grandchildren- Alison, Keith, Carly and Zachery; her seven great grandchildren-Jackson, Blake, Audrina, Leela, Declan, Caroline and Jacob; one sister, Cecelia Michalenko of Adams, one brother, Edward Biros and his wife Joanna of Adams; as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by a son, John "Yon" Czubryt, Jr., a great grandson, Landon; by eight brothers – John, Frank, Stanley, Theodore, Albin, Joseph, Richard and Edwin Biros; and by two sisters, Jane Armata and Alice Cichy. The funeral will be held on Friday, June 21st at 11:00 AM in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Adams. A calling hour will be held directly before the funeral on Friday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, , at the funeral home.
