Joan M. Lawson, 92
ADAMS, Mass. —
Mrs. Joan Marie (Bohl) Lawson, 92, of Adams, died on Friday, June 14, 2024, at North Adams Commons.
She was born in North Adams on March 11, 1932, a daughter of the late Robert and Lillian (Babcock) Bohl. She attended schools in North Adams.
Mrs. Lawson was primarily a homemaker but had worked for the former Sprague Electric Company and the former X-Tyal Corp.
She was a communicant of the Parish of St. John Paul II in Adams, as well as the former St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Adams. She was a member of the Adams Senior Citizens.
Her husband, Richard Lawson, whom she married on September 3, 1955, died on January 4, 2011.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Lawson (Jane) of Adams, and Daniel Lawson (Maury) of Williamstown; two daughters, Julie McNeice (Paul) of Adams and Marilyn Benedict (Paul) of Minnetonka, MN; two brothers, William and Robert Bohl; two sisters, Dorothy Baird and Barbara Carsno; twelve grandchildren, Philip, Marion, Jesse, Josh, Jessica, Tricia, Tyler, Haley, Nick, Juliann, Hunter and Danny; eight great grandchildren, Dorothea, Rowyn, Lincoln, Riley, Noah, Sophie, Marlie and Brie and by several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Donna Morris, a son, Richard Lawson, Jr., two grandsons, Tristan Lawson and Shane Morris and by three brothers, Charles, John and Rodney Bohl.
Funeral services and burial will be private. There are no calling hours.
