Lawrence Joseph Denault, Jr., 89

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Lawrence Joseph Denault, Jr., age 89, of Santee, Calif. passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024. 

Lawrence (Larry) was born on Feb. 2. 1935 in North Adams to the late Lawrence J. and Alice (Chalifoux) Denault. Larry was a very proud Navy Veteran after serving for many years in the US Navy.

Lawrence is survived by his daughter Suzanne Marie Veverka (Michael J.); his brothers William Denault (Kathy), Alfred Denault (Teresa), Ronald Denault (Holly), Edward Denault (Kathy), Gary Denault and his sister Debbie Kushnet (Allen). Lawrence also leaves four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Lawrence was preceded in death by his wife Lorraine (Herouz) Denault, daughter Laurie Ann Bell (Marshall); brothers Francis Denault (Carol), Daniel Denault (Mary), sisters Patricia Rondeau (Francis) and Sandy Torchia (Michael).

A graveside service for Lawrence will be held Tuesday, June 25, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 AM at Miramar National Cemetery, 5795 Nobel Drive, San Diego, Calif. 92122.

Bill, Ronald, Edward, Gary, Debbie and families, In October of 1954, Larry and I and several other guys from Berkshire county boarded a bus to take us to the Naval training center in Baimbridge Maryland. That started our friendship. Larry was a kind and gentle soul just as were his parents and family. May he rest in piece with the LORD. Bill Haddad
