Jennifer A. Kline, 55
ADAMS, Mass. —
Mrs. Jennifer A. (Felix) Kline, 55, of Adams, died on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at Berkshire Medical Center in North Adams.
She was born in Boston on May 1, 1968, a daughter of Deborah (Cady) Felix and the late Ralph E. Felix, Jr. She attended schools in Adams and graduated from Hoosac Valley High School with the class of 1986. She then attended Westfield State College and earned her bachelor’s in education from the former North Adams State College. She was currently working on her master’s degree at the Massachusetts College of Liberal arts.
At the time of her death, Jen was teaching at Hoosac Valley Middle School, a job she loved and loved her students even more. While at Hoosac she ran the student council, participated in Trunk or Treat and was proud to raise money for things close to her heart such as childhood cancer through the Strong Little Souls organization and animals of disaster areas by putting together a talent show and other events. She was very proud of her students' hard work and dedication with these events. She prided herself on being an advocate for the children she taught, making sure they received any support they needed. She had also worked for the former Rhythm and Rhyme Nursery School in Williamstown and Cheshire, and often told stories of her time waitressing at the former Pizza Hut in North Adams.
Jennifer loved her family and was very active in her children’s dance and sporting events and most recently being a grandmother.
Besides her mother Deborah of Cheshire, she is survived by her husband Christopher Kline, whom she married on August 18, 1990; her son, Collin Kline and his fiancé Mariah Worth of Clarksburg; her daughter Katelyn Whelan and her husband Travis of Shaftsbury, VT; two sisters, Jill LeMire and her husband Donald of Adams and Jamie MacHaffie and her husband David of Lanesboro; three grandchildren, Christopher, Zoey and Annabelle, as well as many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, March 2nd at 12:00 Noon in the Adams First Congregational Church, 42 Park St., Adams. Calling hours will be Saturday morning AT THE CHURCH from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral.
